What is B.A.D.?

For the past 12 years, the B.A.D, program has provided children with handicaps the ability to gain self confidence and be part of a "Team" in sports and activities.

B.A.D. understands that children and teenagers with disabilities are often alienated from most sporting activities, leaving them with little self confidence. Their goal is to focus on the child’s strengths rather than weaknesses.

Who Qualifies for the Program?

Children with handicaps between the ages of 4 to 18 qualify for the program. Disabilities can be, but not limited to:

  • Children with visual impairments
  • Amputations
  • Angelman’s Syndrome
  • Down Syndrome
  • Spinal Cord Injury
  • Dwarfism
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Head Injury
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Other Neuromuscular and Orthopedic Condition(s)
The Program's Goals

To boost the self confidence in young children and teens and instill in them that, their disability does not define who they are or what they can be.

More and more children are participating in sports and recreational activities, and more and more disabled young athletes are doing what was once considered impossible.

B.A.D. will play between 10 - 12 games this year and games will be scheduled weekdays and some Saturdays.
